Bastian was retained as a “hired gun” by a Dayton-based ad agency to do high-level editorial work for one of the agency’s clients, Wright State University School of Medicine. She was tasked with the job of writing the institution’s first-ever student recruitment brochure. As part of that process, Bastian had to interview and work with 10 of the medical school’s physicians, and gain buy-in from them along the way.
Bastian was later told by the ad agency that the brochure she wrote was directly responsible for a major boost in student enrollment, and got high marks from the medical school client.
Interviewing, writing, editing, project coordination, high-level interpersonal communications.
