Frisco is a city located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. It was identified as the fastest-growing city in the United States in 2009, and also the fastest-growing city in the nation from 2000 to 2009. A 2007 Forbes study named Frisco as the seventh-fastest growing suburb in the nation. In 2011, CNN listed Frisco as one of the “Best Places to Live” in the U.S., and Forbes ranked it 7th on its list of “America’s 25 Best Places To Move.”
Bastian was invited to go on a business FAM trip (sponsored by the Frisco Economic Development Corp.) after the community was named the fastest-growing city in America. She met with key government officials, senior executives and community leaders to learn about the areas’s economic development assets, and the reasons for its popularity with businesses.
