  • CareerPro Plus: Writer of corporate, federal and military resumes for nationally acclaimed resume writing and coaching services company.

  • Children's Hospital Medical Center: Writer of feature articles or two issues of the quarterly Young and Healthy community magazine for major Cincinnati hospital.

  • Christ Hospital Serving magazine, Cincinnati: Writer of articles about women's healthcare for community publication of major hospital. 

  • Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber: Chosen from among all freelance writers in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky to co-author Cincinnati: City of Charm, a 350-page book featuring Greater Cincinnati's 100 key organizations and companies, and a "love letter" story about the city written by famous TV personality Nick Clooney. Writer of half the profiles (involved interviewing C-level executives only) and hired another local writer to do other half of them. 10,000 copies published.

  • Control Concepts & Design: Conducted marketing research for technical company.

  • Corporate & Incentive Travel magazine: Writer for national publication focused all business travel aspects from management's viewpoint.

  • County magazine, Texas: Writer of a few about county government issues for state magazine.

  • Country Lifestyle, regional TX magazine: Managing Editor and Writer of the first luxury lifestyle magazine for affluent residents of Texas Hill Country (comprised of one million acres).   • Funpearls.com pearl jewelry store: Owner 8 years, of pearl company selling over 500 pearl jewelry pieces via website I created. Product imported direct from pearl farms. Designed a few pieces, too!

  • Global Trade, national magazine: Writer of regional round-up articles.

  • Great American Insurance Co.: Writer of multi-faceted press kit about healthy lifestyle programs and drug addiction programs offered by insurance company. Ad agency hired me after it fired another writer who did not have skills to complete major project.

  • Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce/Cincinnati: City of Charm:  Writer of 50 corporate profiles of key regional companies (100 total); worked with Nick Clooney, one of two profile co-authors. 10,000 copies sold out of this 350-page coffee table book. Did all work on time in 7 months (after first being told I had 15 months to do work).

  • Greene Memorial Hospital, Dayton: Writer of employee newsletter of regional hospital.

  • Guest Informant: Chosen by national publisher from among all local metro writers to write main feature stories for two hardcover hotel guidebooks (Kansas City, MO, and Cincinnati) placed in luxury those cities for guests. Annual editions.

  • InGenesis Medical Staffing, San Antonio: As company's first Director of Public Relations, I wrote, distributed press releases; wrote winning national/regional award entries; and designed content/design of new award-winning website for regional HR medical staffing company that grew to be a national player.

  • Ingram’s, Kansas City’s business magazine: Columnist for city's leading publication; wrote first profiles for new column about local beer/wine industry professionals and their restaurants. Quit due to corporate move to Ohio.

  • Interbrand/Design Forum, Dayton: Writer of large-scale client project profile sheets for national architectural firm formerly known as Design Forum.

  • International Assoc. of Business Communicators, IABC/San Antonio chapter: Member of board of directors (10 years) and chapter president (2 years) for professional communications group whose members represented city's major PR and marketing organizations. Helped plan/execute monthly professional development luncheons, as well as successful annual, multi-state IABC conference held in San Antonio. Led effort to have chapter logos redone, grow membership by over 35%, improve processes, double number of board positions.

  • International Business Expo, Ohio. Writer of press releases, secured regional publicity with newspapers and radio stations for dozens of convention center "business expos" (trade shows) in Midwest cities put on by Cincinnati company.

  • Kansas City Economic Development Corp.: Writer of major organizational marketing brochure. Hired gun project for Jane Mobley & Associates.

  • Kickercon.com: Helped garner PR for first-ever state crowdfunding educational expo held 2014 in Houston, TX.  New industry creatives in field attened from outside Texas. I wrote media fact sheet, secured PR, helped organizer overall. This was one of the earliest industry events in U.S.; the idea of crowdfunding was still "alien concept" to most people.

  • Las Vegas, City of: Writer of three major economic development brochures for City of Las Vegas Economic Development Agency used globally to attract new businesses to Las Vegas. Won marketing award.

  • Life Media, Kansas City: Member of newly organized team of 3 volunteer marketing pros who created the area's first pro-life billboards, in-theater movie ads, etc. in mid-1990's by uniting community leaders who funded projects. Our efforts were so successful that we were profiled by James Dobson's national "Focus on the Family" ministry.

  • Lindale Economic Development Corporation, TX: Writer of new website content, did extensive site map work.

  • Logos Nutritionals: Writer of press releases about new products, special promotions for this national supplements company. Note: Its products helped me regain my health!

  • Major League Baseball Players Assocition: PR and media relations work for annual players event.

  • Mark Sullivan, inventor: Writer of press release about his "Shark Tank” TV appearance and gained vital local WOAI radio coverage.

  • Mars Petcare/The Associate magazine: Writer of numerous articles for two issues of employee publications for national petcare company.

  • Meeting Professionals International and its magazines, The Meeting Professional, The Meeting Manager: Writer (8 years) for globally recognized industry publication for members of MPI; members are lodging facilities, transport firms and meeting planners, etc. Helped launch first issue with its first editor in Cincinnati, before group moved to Dallas. Authored well over 60 articles; worked on onsite global conference daily publication. 

  • Vuelo magazine, Mexicana Airlines: Writer of first article about San Antonio for in-flight publication. City was a major leisure travel destination for this Mexico-based company.

  • Museo Alameda (Alameda Museum): Editor and Writer for information panels (Spanish to English) for dozens of "Old World Master" paintings comprising a world-famous art exhibit held at Alameda museum to celebrate its opening. Alameda (now closed) showcased Hispanic art and culture from various centuries, and was affiliated with the Smithsonian.

  • National Lawyers Association: Editor of national quarterly newsletter (6 issues) for national bar association supporting the sanctity of life from conception until death and the U.S. Constitution. Art directed creation of new logo for group.

  • National Career Education Assocation: Publicist and Writer for national annual convention drawing thousands of career professionals to Cincinnati event. Garnered national, regional press with media kit comprised of multiple press releases.

  • National Right to Life, Cincinnati: Helped with public relations for one project.

  • NCR (National Cash Register), Dayton: Writer, Editor and Desktop Publisher of multiple  employee technical manuals supporting company's major retail cash register products; 12-month, on-site contract. Interviewed key software developers on team, and provided suggestions on how to improve software for end users.

  • Pickapeppa/Warbac Sales, Inc: Writer, Marketer, Publicist and Social Media Manager for U.S. import company responsible for importing 95% of Pickaapeppa Sauce products into America.

  • planetfeedback.com: As first Travel Editor for "BuyersBuzz" weekly blog, wrote dozens of weekly leisure travel posts for this groundbreaking consumer website giving consumers power to give feedback, good and bad, about U.S. companies. Read its mission statement here; later tech-driven company called Intelliseek. Sample story. Recognized as "Webgrll of the Week" for this work.

  • PNC Bank, Cincinnati; The Bottom Line magazine: Editor and Writer of employee publication for 4,000 workers of institution formerly known as Central Trust Bank. Also wrote a few product marketing banking brochures.

Hired outside graphic designer to refresh existing logo to create new one with better graphics, new font/colors, and new tagline to better reflect brand's true identity and product offerings.   • Social Venture Partners, San Antonio: Researcher and Writer for 2020 annual report/brochure published by local chapter of SVP, an international organization of volunteers aiding nonprofits.

  • Solera Inc., TX: Writer of website content and sitemap Developer for multi-million-dollar company with U.S. and Euro operations.

  • St. Anthony Messenger magazine, Cincinnati:  Assistant Editor for five years for one of the largest national Catholic publications in world. Wrote, edited, proofread articles for magazine, read hundreds of spec articles, wrote for company's nationally distributed monthly publications for youth and seniors. Monthly circulation of over 450,000 copies, and over 1 million monthly readers.

  • Super Saturday educational program, Cincinnati: Served on board seven years of this parent-run enrichment program for gifted children. Instituted its publicity program and branded clothing program for children and parents. Wrote class listings for program, wrote grants.

  • Swope Parkway Health Center, Kansas City: Writer of patient brochures for regional hospital system. Hired gun project for Jane Mobley & Associates.

  • Texas Association of Counties/County magazine: Writer for state publication supporting managers of state county operations.

  • Texas Bariatric Specialists, San Antonio: Writer of services brochure and website copy, plus secured local TV coverage, for local weight-loss surgery physician.

  • Thomson-Gale Publishing/Business Plans Handbook: Researcher and Editor for numerous volumes of BPH; each edition which featured dozens real and successful business plans spanning all industries. Created first PR campaign for client which attracted new sources for plans.
